Our departure

On April 7 a team of 22 doctors, nurses, nurse anesthetist, paramedics and non medical personnel will depart on our mission to Nicaragua.  I will be your personnel blogger on this journey.  Please feel free to add comments to our pages as you go through our site, we would love to know you are with us as we work in Nicaragua.

This is an adventure of a lifetime for myself and for many of the team members. To be able to give back to others is an amazing gift.

We land in Managua on April 7 and our first stop is the Verbo church which links us to Nicaragua in the first place. We then head down to Tola in the Southwest part of Nicaragua where the Nica Clinic, or Roberto Clemente Clinic, supports a vast area of underserved Nicaraguans. We are partnered with Rivas Hospital in Rivas, Nicaragua, the 5th largest city in Nicaragua. 


We are staying on the coast in an area called Popoyo, which is part of a long stretch of beautiful beaches that offer world class surfing. Most of our work will take place at Rivas Hospital, but there may be some chance to do some volunteer work at the clinic as well.
